It's been a while since we've heard about Shakehands in Amarillo, Texas. If you remember, Shakehands is the outfit that put Amarillo on the table tennis map so to speak. A community was coming together, lots of tournaments were being held, and some of the coolest posters we've ever seen were being dropped online. It was a positive movement based around ping-pong, and it's back for some sweet revenge in Amarillo for 2024.

What The Heck Is Shakehands Pong In Amarillo?

Shakehands is our resident group of ping-pong enthusiasts who, over the years, have put together some great events and tournaments. They've done a lot to bring players and those interested in playing together in our area. In 2021 they were even bringing in some top talent.

One of the best parts about Shakehands is the quasi-secrecy of it all. There isn't a ton of information given about events. There isn't much in the way of fanfare or advertising for events. It almost feels like Balls Of Fury meets Fight Club in some ways. It's worth checking out if you're a fan of ping-pong, or thinking that you could use a hobby that gets you out of the house.
