If you look back to 2024 we had a lot of closed restaurants in Amarillo. That is something we don't like to see. We don't like to see owners out of a dream and employees out of a job. It's tough, it really is.

Sometimes we are able to have a bounce back like when both Malcolm's and Beef O' Brady's. They were able to open back up after closing but that is not normal. Usually, we lose a good place and then all we have are memories and people posting about missing them on social media.

So when we find out about a local restaurant struggling we like to band together to help them out. We have seen that happen a time or two. So here is where one takes to social media asking for our help.

Nine Line BBQ opened up in the former Robinsons location a couple of years ago.

Since then it has been business as usual, until it wasn't. Now they are looking for us to help them out. All they are asking for is us to do what we do - go out to eat.

Of course, a restaurant is hard to operate. There are a lot of outside factors that can affect you. The weather we had recently is one of those. With either not being able to open or just not having the customers because they stayed indoors, it does hurt business.

They did not say they would have to close. Maybe they won't. It could be reduced hours. Neither of those are good for anyone. So Amarillo do what you do best. Go out and help. Help is always easier when it involves some delicious BBQ.
