Discover Hope Village: Amarillo’s Newest Spot for Food & Opportunity

Amarillo is always growing. With each new business we get to experience something added to our city.  A new Amarillo business is doing something few others have: bringing hope and smiles.

That seems like a huge bill to fill, but I think this new location will be able to do just that. It is called Hope Village. They are scheduled to open on July 16th. Yes, this is a new place that is offering a lot.

What Can You Find at Hope Village?

So far, we can count on Hope Village to offer food, drinks, and treats. Three separate places are opening up in Hope Village: Special Blends Coffee and Tea Shop, Jeffrey’s Deli, and Scoops with Smiles Ice Cream Parlor.

These three new places are offering a lot more than just drinks, food, and treats. They are creating new jobs in Amarillo. They have recently held a job hiring event to staff these three new locations fully.

What Makes Hope Village Stand Out?

According to a recent social media post:

We’re dedicated to working with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) to help them gain valuable job skills for meaningful employment in the community.

I was driving around Amarillo the other day when I happened upon this new Hope Village out on South Washington. I had been watching over the past several months as this location was being built.

I had no idea how neat these new buildings were going to be. A couple of sets of shops that were going to bring a lot to Amarillo. A lot of hope is happening here.

Why Amarillo Needs Hope Village

This is more than a few new places to grab lunch. These places are giving hope to these employees to learn the skills to work and make a difference. Yes, you will also get to grab some ice cream, a sandwich, and some caffeine, but it is much more than that.
