Mystery Solved: We Finally Know What’s Moving Into the Former House Divided Building
From time to time, we find out about new places coming to Amarillo. We may hear a rumor, but then we go about trying to confirm if it's more than a rumor. Sometimes when we reach out, they ignore our questions.
It's frustrating, but they want to be the ones who first announce the opening. Occasionally, we actually hear back from the company, but they give us the standard "At this time, we have no plans of coming to Amarillo." That is also frustrating, especially when we already know they are coming.
That happened when Home Goods was coming to Amarillo. We got told time and time again that there were no plans, even after we had concrete proof they were indeed coming.

The restaurant is called Ponto Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse, and they are currently in Lubbock. When I asked if they were coming to Amarillo and moving into the former House Divided location, this is their reply:

What Exactly is a Brazilian Steakhouse?
This is great news because Amarillo has never had a Brazilian Steakhouse, so this is something different. If you are not familiar with the concept of a Brazilian Steakhouse, they serve a variety of meats, such as beef, lamb, pork, and chicken. It features an all-you-can-eat concept with meats carved expertly at your table. They also offer a high-end salad bar and traditional side dishes.
Exploring the Menu: From Picanha to the Salad Bar
So, as Ponto Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse is renovating the former House Divided building in anticipation of their opening, you can get familiar by looking over their menu and drooling over the different food options.
