Get Ready To Laugh Amarillo! Cinergy Brings Back Stand-Up Comedy

In Amarillo, we tend to get a variety of different events and shows that roll through town. Concerts happen in multiple venues, ranging from a variety of different musical genres.

Different types of conventions are popular here as well. There is one thing we don't typically get a whole lot of here though. We don't even have a specific place to get this like most cities do.

That's not to say we don't get comedy shows in Amarillo. Yellow City Comedy puts on shows throughout the city as well as hosts open mic nights, so we CAN get our fix. When it comes to touring comedians though, it's pretty barren.

Cinergy has been coming through in the clutch lately though to give us some national comedians with their Stand Up Comedy showcase series they've been running for a couple of months now. They kicked it off with a bang when they brought in "The Polar Bear" Jon Gonzalez.

Now, the series returns on on June 21st with Jerry Garcia! Jerry has been recognized as one of the top-rated comedians in the country, and brings his smart and energetic style to the 806 for one night only.
