Pat Green Takes the Stage at The Lumberyard in Canyon

One of the great things about summertime in Amarillo and Canyon is music.  The cities are filled with great artists entertaining those who love great songs and a great time.

Pat Green

Born in San Antonio, Pat Green began his musical career while attending college at Texas Tech University.  He performed in local bars and soon had a large following of fans.  In 1995, Green released his album Dancehall Dreamer.

Pat Green began his career in the mid-90s, and 1997 was the year he committed to his music career.  He caught Willie Nelson's attention, who he joined on tour in 1998.

In 2001 Pat Green released his first major label album, Three Days.  It produced two charting singles including,

In 2003 he was nominated for a Grammy for Three Days for Best Country Male Performance and Best Country Song.

In 2003, Pat Green released Wave on Wave. The title track became his highest charting single earning a Grammy nomination for Best Country Song. Additionally, he was nominated for Top New Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Pat Green released 3 more albums with a major label, then returned to Texas County in 2011. Green released multiple singles over the years including Drinking' Days.

In 2015, Green released his album Home.

Pat Green isn't slowing down, he's doing what he loves,  making and releasing music, and touring.
